Tripoint Smash 101
16 months after Tripoint 100, Tripoint Smash 101 took place and brought a return to in-person Smash events in the Chicagoland area. Following guidelines to ensure the safety of all attendees, 199 competitors were finally able to return. They were met with a refreshed look to Tripoint’s branding and livestreams.

IL High School WiFi Series Season 2 Finals
Others in the Chicagoland Smash community were also doing what they could to provide events. The IL High School WiFi Series ran for two seasons with online events, and season 2 ended with an in-person finals event(with many precautions in place). UGS was trusted with developing graphics and assisting with streaming the event.

Anime Magic Online
Of course, Smash events were not the only events that had to adapt to an online format. Anime Magic, a Chicago-based anime convention, ran an online event in 2020 featuring a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament. This tournament was organized, ran, and broadcasted by UGS.

Friday Night Netplay
Just under a month after the start of quarantine, UGS started an online weekly event, Friday Night Netplay. Functioning as both a way to provide competition and keep the local community together, Friday Night Netplay ran for 50 weeks, with the final event taking place on May 14, 2021.

Tripoint Smash 100
To celebrate 100 weeks of Tripoint Smash, UGS announced multiple pot bonuses to bracket prize pools, top competitors from out of state, and a pass giveaway to an upcoming event. Despite the efforts, no one could have predicted that the event would reach 300 attendees. Unfortunately, this event would also mark a temporary halt to in-person events. COVID-related quarantine started shortly after.
